Welcome to the Metiere Associates Consultant Training Course!

This is a very exciting time! You are participating in this course because of your expressed interest in continued development as a consultant.

Consulting in the social sciences, as a career, is a job with ill-defined tasks. As such, you will be immersed in the environment to develop your consulting skills within your selected research domains (e.g., public policy, social work, child welfare, psychology, personnel research). As a consultant with Metiere, you will develop business relationships with clients; design, develop and direct projects; administer budgets; supervise personnel; and conduct research, among other activities.

This course is designed to support your self-directed development of knowledge, skills and abilities in becoming a Senior Associate as you work on client contracts. You will develop your goals for this six-month course and then design activities to help you achieve your goals.
